Support » Themes and Templates » no themes working

  • hi – i’m a new user so i could be being a bit of a nuff nuff, but not even the classic theme is working when i change it. the first meassage i get is

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: language_attributes() in /home/www/ on line 2

if i delete the language part from header.php (i probably should put EN in there somehow but i’m not sure how) i then get

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_list_bookmarks() in /home/www/ on line 9

    and on and on.

i am not entirely sure that it is version 2.2 installed as my host has an automatic install and i can’t seem to find the version # anywhere, but if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

the theme i would really like to use is “summer-flowers” which does the same thing. i have contacted the designer as well, but as the problem seems to be general rather than just that theme i thought i should list the problem here too.

    thank you,

    xx la

  • In the admin panel you can see your version on every page – in the footer. Just scroll down.

All those errors tell your WP files were not uploaded correctly. If this is a new blog I’d delete it and try a clean manual install.

Hi — Not new to WordPress, as I established a domain and blog earlier this year — relatively seamlessly. Have a headbanger of time now, however, as we are experienceing:

With the new Red and Blue template (7/9/07)

“Fatal error: Call to undefined function: language_attributes() in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/ on line 3”

…and only partial viewing of the blog text — no graphics and calendar does a disappearing act(!) when using Visterd Little-1

Went all through wiping the slate clean and FTp’ing all files ok and as verified by our host — they have checked everything out extensively at their end and we have even changed servers!

    Still — the challenges persist.

…so I just put the Default template back up for now. Is there anything else we can do? Please advise.
