Support » Plugin: Microsoft Azure Storage for WordPress » No support for multisite?

  • Hello,

    Couple of features that bogs me. Most can be dealt with compromises but as Azure, this plugin could have couple of more features I miss for one implementation.

    Multisite support
    ———————
    Plugin works ok on a single site, however seems that it is not meant for the multisite

    Multisite media structure is
    /{siteId}/{year}/{month}

    but plugin supports only
    /{year}/{month}

    Since the settings are individual per site, storage container could be set per site but it is a hassle.

    Settings through define(‘store_account_key’,’….’);
    ————————————————
    In the case of the multisite, setting up individually Key, container, custom url, per site.. and eventual updates later, is a lot of clicking. Option to have it defined in wp_config once would be nice.

    Better support for the Azure CDN
    ———————————-
    One can add custom url *.azureedge.net (or any other), however if tried to be used with default Azure CDN (and starting origin path for the endpoint – same as the container), the origin path should be lost (but remains).

    This can only work assuming that origin path is / of the storage container where images reside. Some setting should be defined to be able to tune this, or custom url to be constructed with more freedom.

    Looking forward getting some feedback.

    Best,
    Ivan
