Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » no support for issues

  • I have the pro version of this software and support seems to not care. In calendar view, after you switch months, you cannot click the view all link within a day. Notified support months ago, and they admitted it was an issue with the plugin and that it would be fixed in the next version. Only that never happened. Still broken months later. They have been no help for a temporary solution. They are only focused on rolling out the next version of features, and not fixing bugs. I would stay away from anything by Modern Tribe.

    3 Months have passed buy and still no fix with the Pro version. All I want is the link on the calendar to view all, when displaying by categories to work.I would stay away from all products from this company, it seems as if they have no in-house developers, and the support staff really don’t care.

    Hey there @ohiowebpro,

    I saw your review come in and wanted to reach you to you personally. We take a lot of pride in our support but it’s clear we’ve failed you here and that’s definitely not cool. I understand why you’d leave a one-star review with that sort of experience.

    I hope this is mostly a poor job of communicating on our part because I was able to find you ticket and confirm that the issue is indeed fixed and included in our next major release. I’m not sure if we simply failed to note that we were talking about a major release versus a minor release when we said the fix was coming, but I went in and tested the issue with the beta of the next major release and the link to view all events in a day within the month view shortcode does indeed work.

    I’m also sorry we gave you the impression that we’re only focused features over fixes. We have two teams that work concurrently, where one team works on fixes and the other on features. The fixes ship every 2 weeks and features come at other points when they’re ready. In this particular case, we wanted to work it into the feature release because of how closely integrated it is with our major overhaul of the calendar views. We definitely wouldn’t want to put a fix into the current version only to have it resurface again in the next release.

    In any case, I’m sorry for the trouble and poor communication but hope this at least helps close those gaps.

    3 months and still not fixed. This is response total BS. I guess if major functionality is not needed while you wait many months for a new version, then this company is for you.
