I think it must be some other plugin or your theme not allowing our plugin to work. Install CF7 Customizer on a clean install and it works. So, try deactivating and then reactivating plugins/themes one by one to find the culprit.
I do this steps already but still the same problem. Can you please look at the my site maybe you will find the problem?
Why the status is changed to resolved? I still have the problem can nobody help me? I already changed the theme and deactivate Plugins step by step. The Plugin CF7 Customizer is the problem, that i didn`t get the success message and the fields not reset.
I am having the same issue. I deactivated my theme and installed/activated a default theme. I disabled all of the plugins except for CF7 and CF7 Customizer. Still had the problem. I disabled the CF7 Customizer plugin and viola, the form submitted as well as the wheel stopped spinning and I received the message at the bottom of the form saying success.
I reactivated all of my other plugins and everything still worked. I reactivated the CF7 Customizer plugin and BAM, not working again.
This brings me to the conclusion that there is an issue with your plugin.
Got the exact same issue, perhaps something broke recently with recent updates to WP 4.8 or contact form 7 – Please advise and look into this.

I took the same steps as d1git above and obtained the same results. I’m pretty sure this only became a problem with the upgrade to WP 4.8.
The problem is in CF7.
I have the same problem and tried everything, unfortunately without success. I also believe either the last WP update, or the CF7 Customizer itself.
I hope there will soon be a solution.

I see a new comment here, so people are still having issues. I have solved the problem on my end, by reverting back to the previous version of CF7.
FTP into your site files. Remove the CF7 plugin completely. Just the files and don’t do it through the plugin manager. You’ll regret doing that.
Download this version of CF7, unzip to your computer and upload those files in into the plugins directory.

You should be good to go. At least it worked for me until the developer of this plugin catches up on the issue.

– extension CF7 4.9.2 downgrade in 4.7.2 by using the link provided by Chris
Using an old version of a plug-in is poor practice. If the developer isn’t interested in resolving the issue — 8 months should be enough time — the solution is to switch to another customizable contact form.
I agree with you, this is only a workaround and not a fix
