    Hi there,
    I am just learning – so thanks for the help!

    1) Can I use WordPress Plugin in a side bar or would I have to create a whole new page just for subscribing? if I do the latter, I think I’ll lose folks.

    2) I tried to use the Subscribe2 widget in my side bar and it did not show an input box for the person to give his/her name and email. Did I do something wrong?

    Right now I’m using Navayan Subscribe but I’d like to switch if I can get this to work.

    Thanks!!!

  • @empoweredforjoy,

    1/ You can just use the Widget but there needs to be a page on your site somewhere for Subscribe2 to use so you should create one. It’s highly recommended and in the install instructions.

    2/ If you place the widget and then loaded your front page you’ll probably have seen a message linking to your personal profile. To see the form you need to log out.

    ahhh – got it! Thanks I’ll give it a shot. Once I get this all figured out I hope to upgrade to HTML version of emails at some point too. First things first…

    Have a great day!

    Ok so…. I creatd the page and added the widget. Then I tried to subscribe and unsubscribe my secondary email and I did not get notification for either. I’m assuming this is not a bug. What did I miss this time?
    Thanks!

    @empoweredforjoy,

    Have you defined a sender in the plugin using the name of an administrator level account with an on-domain email?

    Do you get other emails from your site, for example when you try to reset your password or for comments in moderation?
