no spellcheck 3.6

Hello,
I just installed wordpress 3.6 and there is no spellcheck at all. with the last update didnt at all.

Are you going to bring it back? I dont use jet pack for a number of reasons.
I do have Ultimate tinyMCE installed. I read that it has a spellcheck but I havent come upon it.

Can someone could give me an alternative other than jetpack or firefox?

Yeah, Google removed it from their servers, so we removed it from core 🙁 Not a bug, a mandated action based on the API we were using being deleted.

Thanks for the reply, it is appreciated. I depend on spellcheck.

Are there any plugins with spellcheck that are updated, or are they all removed?

Jetpack includes After the Deadline, which has a spelling and grammar check.

Best solution is using WordPress Dashboard in Google Chrome browser. Chrome has in-built spell check and it shows wrong spelling in real time as you type.

Hi,
Just picked up wordpress hosting at GoDaddy and currently working on my website using the developer version of jetpack until I get my current website moved over. I do not see an “after the deadline” anything on jetpack with a spelling and grammar check. Could really use it before moving my website over. Please advise!
