    Hi,
complicated to find the good solution in the forum, I read several posts on the subject, referring to other posts in the forum except that each time I arrive on a blank page in the forum with the input fields of the research but never I found a clear solution on this problem. Each post is closed by referring to an article that does not exist.

How is it that despite uninstalling the jetpack module for months, many urls ending with “?ak_action=reject_mobile” are spotted and indexed by google? despite a canonical url in the code and a single responsive design template model, this kind of parameter is detected. how to prevent this please? in the robot.txt file? Or is there a setting to disable?

    Thanks for your help, regards

    Hello Jeannot,

I am sorry you have not been able to find a solution to unwanted URLs in your search results. To provide some context, can you share the URL of your website or sample URLs with the issue?

    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-console-and-ak_actionreject_mobile/

all the previous posts left on this subject are without solution or concrete answer. but when I read and follow the instructions it does not lead to any other link or post to find the solution.
Here is one of my concerned url

    Hi,

We’re trying to check on this URL (https://www.franceguitare.fr/blog/electronique-et-condensateurs-de-guitares-fender/?ak_action=reject_mobile) but it doesn’t seem to be resolving or loading as expected.

We’re not sure if this is an issue with the Yoast SEO plugin, but we do know that the canonical URL output we have should sanitize and ignore filters as per our documentation here – https://developer.yoast.com/features/seo-tags/canonical-urls/functional-specification/

So ideally, what is set as the canonical URL should be the one that outputs in the search results.

hi, if you say it doesn’t matter I believe you but google scans and indexes them and that’s what we don’t want. The only thing that annoys like the others before me (read other posts) is not knowing which module or tool would have generated such urls that we don’t need in our WP. It would be healthier to eliminate them with a 301 redirect from the start if they are useless. It’s not Yoast SEO that generates this, the previous posts talk about Jetpack which would be the origin but I uninstalled it a long time ago. And if it’s jetpack, no one explains how to change that, hence my post at start.
Now I can also content myself with the canonical url configured in the pages but it’s not great in my opinion. Thanks

    Hi,

Since the URL isn’t loading on my end, it’s really hard to check what the canonical tag is. But ideally, Yoast SEO should sanitize the URLs to remove these search parameters, so that the sanitized version without the search parameters is what Google would refer to as the original URL and ideally output in the search results.

In any case, we wish you the best of luck in further optimizing your site and its content.
