Support » Plugin: Gutenberg » No sir, I don’t like it

  • I’m going to go and install Classic Editor across all my sites, what a terrible update to force by default. Unintuitive for anyone who has used WordPress over the years, keeps on adding weird blocks when copying/pasting content, HTML view is super clunky, can’t even ctrl+A anything because of the block obsession, epic fail. I’ve used a variety of CMS’ over the years and I’ve always loved using WordPress, but this has tested my patience. For new users or people using it as a WYSIWYG page builder the experience is likely different, but for experienced bloggers writing content this is has been a very poor experience. Very much appreciate that Classic Editor will still be supported – over time my stance may soften, but not impressed at all with the new editor as it stands right now. Very much a wasted opportunity.
