# no sidebars defined – error

 * all of the sidebars were working correctly in my themes until i installed and
   used hemingwayEX. now that i have decided to switch to another theme, themes 
   that previously worked are saying that no sidebars are defined. i have deleted
   and reinstalled my wordpress files and something is still broken. what did i 
   break?

 * ended up replacing the functions.php file in my previous theme. maybe it got 
   corrupted. anyway it works now.
