So my unreleased site has been working fine for some time in terms of calculating shipping based on default Woo options (No special addons) but all of a sudden, no matter what I try, it comes back with the msg. Although I’m not 100% sure but I believe this started occuring once I updated to the latest version of WooCommerce. WordPress is up to date.

There are no shipping methods available. Please ensure that your address has been entered correctly, or contact us if you need any help.

I’ve tried the regular troubleshooting of de-activating all plugins, and checking over all the settings but it’s still not working..

I installed an error log monitor and attempted another transaction and now have the error the system is returning. I’ve pasted it below (removing the URL Paths) but not sure what it means if anyone can assist.

PHP Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘hide_shipping_when_free_is_available’ not found or invalid function name in /home/URL/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 286

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just an update.. I turned on the built in woocommerce shipping debug in options and when I enter in my address it gives me these two lines.

Customer matched zone “Local Free Pickup”
    Shipping costs updated.

    However, it still shows

    Hi @penguinandowlacres,

I know it may seem unrelated, but what payment gateways do you have enabled? Sometimes the messaging can be misleading.

Try enabling COD or check payments, and test?

Thanks for the reply.. I tried de-activating all plugins except Woocommerce and it still occurs. I then enabled ‘Check Payments’ and cleared cache and re-attempted and still nothing. The funny thing is that error,

callback, function ‘hide_shipping_when_free_is_available’ not found or invalid function name

dosesn’t appear to be part of the woo core.. So I have NO idea where it’s coming from. There’s also nothing to do with shipping added to the functions.php file just in case.

Actually I just figured it out.. so silly.. I checked my functions.php but not the one in my child theme folder and there at the very end was some code to hide the shipping methods if free shipping was applicable.
