    Hi,

Try first using a “from” email address that belongs to your website domain, this is the most common restriction applied in most hosting services.

Note that if you use a “from” email from a public email service like “@hotmail.com”, “@aol.com”, “@outlook.com”, “@gmail.com”, … it will be filtered by most antispam systems since the email will be identified as “not originated at the expected server”.

If that doesn’t work please check if your hosting service requires some specific configuration to send emails from PHP/WordPress websites. The plugin uses the settings specified into the WordPress website to deliver the emails, if your hosting has some specific requirements like a fixed “from” address or a custom “SMTP” server those settings must be configured into the WordPress website.

Thank you for using the plugin!

    Hi,
First let me say that I’m new to WordPress. The only assumption you should make in helping me is that I’m totally clueless.
That said, I used the plugin “Contact Form to Email” to create a default Contact Me form. I did not change anything in the settings.
I get the messages in the “Contact Form to Email Message List”.
But I never those messages to “Destination/administrator email”.
I use a “from” email address (admin@mydomainname.com) that belongs to my website domain.

I do not know where to “check if your hosting service requires some specific configuration to send emails from PHP/WordPress websites”. My hosting service however disabled SMTP service.
I do not know where to find “the settings specified into the WordPress website to deliver the emails”.
    Thank you!

    Hi,

In that case a solution is to install a WordPress SMTP plugin and setup an external SMTP connection (for example a Gmail SMTP connection) to deliver the email that way.

The Contact Form To Email plugin will use automatically the SMTP connection configured in the WordPress SMTP plugin.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you for using the plugin.
