When user types search term and hits “Enter” or scrolls down the Ajax results and clicks See More results… they link to [ /shop page ] and not a search results page.

They ajax does work and results show fine it’s just this linking to the shop page that is issue.

I have this issue on a couple of sites where I use this plugin

    What am I doing wrong?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Can you please give me a link to that search results page? As I see on your current site search results page support is disabled.

    Regards

Yes, the best way I was able to get working was to NOT check Search Results Page and then to select NOT to show “See More Results” link. So now the Ajax drop results show along with at the top a the search term with number….this seems to be pulling from tags??? but it will now link to theme’s search results page.

This also eliminated the type and Enter issue.

So I need it to be enabled to check it and find a possible solution. Can you activate it on some staging site with search page support if you can’t enable it on your live site?

Sorry…Yes it’s activated as well as the Search more Results……same site is fine

As I see, problems here can be caused by your theme template for products search results page.

AWS plugin doesn’t create its own search results page layout. Plugin just adds its search results to the existing layout of your theme.

Please visit this page – ?s=fam&post_type=product

This page must display standard WooCommerce products search results ( note that it doesn’t have &type_aws=true inside URL ). Not AWS plugin search results. But we see an the same issue here.

So I think the problem here is in your theme search results template for WooCommerce products.

Maybe you can ask the theme author about this issue? Usually template for products search results must be specified inside the archive-product.php file of your theme. You can also use any page builder plugins ( like Elementor or Divi Builder ) to customize your search results page.

Yeah I’ll just uncheck View all results, button and NOT Enable results page.

It works pretty near perfect with that, and does get rid of the customers loop back to the shop page if they just type and hit Enter key on desktop.

Thanks for looking into this…and YES, it does seem to be a theme thing.
