[Resolved] No search form

    @aljuk

    I’ve just installed and started working with the plugin.
    I let it create the necessary page for me.

    I can’t find the search form on the front end. When I click the ‘Advanced Search’ link, there are no form fields, just :

    Search
    Find a listing
    [ the search button ]

    this is tested with default 2012, no plugins and flushed permalinks.

    This is the markup output :

    <!-- Search Form -->
    <form action="" id="wpbdp-search-form" method="GET">
        <input type="hidden" name="action" value="search" />
        <input type="hidden" name="page_id" value="53" />
        <input type="hidden" name="dosrch" value="1" />
        <input type="hidden" name="q" value="" />

        <p><input type="submit" value="Search" /></p>
    </form>
    <!-- Search Form -->

    any ideas?

    HI aljuk,

    Yes, you need to enable your fields to show up on the search form. I’m guessing that perhaps you changed some of them, or maybe there’s an issue with the default state of new fields. In either case, just go to Directory Admin->Manage Form Fields, edit each field and check the “Show on Search Form” option at the bottom.

    NOTE: Not all fields can be visible on the search form, for example, Description, Title and Short description are all searched via a single field for keywords.
