    Hello,
    first of all thank you for this great plugin.
    I have a problem with the search page. The autocompletion works well and the results in the search query are good but when i hit enter or submit after typing or when i clic on “more results”, the results of the search page shows only pages or posts but not the relevants one.
    I saw this topic:
    https://wordpress.org/support/topic/search-results-page-5/
    but i don’t understand your answer, if i buy the premium version will i have the good results in the search page with my template.
    Thank you 😉

    Hello,

    The search box in WordPress only searches by default in the common post types: Posts, and Pages, but if you are using custom posts types in your website (like products for “WooCommerce”, cp_song for the “Music Store”, cp_product in the “Sell Downloads”, and others) the default search options may not be sufficient, in whose case, if you install the professional version of the “Search in Place” plugin, would be possible to enter the custom post types for searching through the settings page of the plugin.

    Best regards.

    But when i desactivate “search in place” the results of the defaut search box of wordpress are good, it shows the relevants custom posts in the search page.
    I want to use your plugin mainly for the autocompletion, the default search page of wordpress works well for my site so i liked to have the autocompletion of “search in place” with the search page of wordpress.
    Thanks for trying to help me.

    Hello @jayabc35,

    In this case you should edit your copy of the plugin, please, follow the steps below:

    1. Open the “/wp-content/plugins/search-in-place/codepeople_search_in_place.php” file with the text editor of your choice.

    2. And comments the lines of code :

    add_action('pre_get_posts', array(&$codepeople_search_in_place_obj, 'modifySearch'));
    add_filter('posts_request', array(&$codepeople_search_in_place_obj, 'modifySearchQuery'), 99);

    and that’s all.
    Best regards.

    Perfect,
    I don’t know what you meant by “comments” the lines but i deleted the 2 lines and now it works well.

    Thank you.

    Hello @jayabc35,

    Yes, deleting both lines you get the same result 😉

    Best regards.
