    thanks for making this plugin available!
    The link points to my private attempt at cataloging books. Getting infos from Amazon was really nice, and it worked when I first added books some time ago. Now the Amazon panel displays ‘Loading …’ after starting a search, but doesn’t return any results.
    My son reckons the change in Amazon API to version 5 (and subsequently turning off version 4) might be the reason.

    If that’s the case, is there anything I can do about it? If not, what other possible reasons are there?

    Yes, Amazon changed their API. I don’t have the time or interest to update the plugin to use the new API, so at this point the Amazon interface is broken and is not likely to be fixed. If you are a PHP programmer and also know the new Amazon API, you could rewrite the Amazon module.
