I have researched through forums for a solution and have had no luck.

The problem is that when trying to update a post or page it redirects to the 404 error page.

I initially took care of this issue by adding the below code to my htaccess file. This solved the problem and suddenly today after working for hours with no issue it started happening again.

Could this be a server issue that I am unaware of? I just need to know the right direction to go in as this site is for a client and is currently live and constantly updated. Your help is VERY appreciated!

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

    # END WordPress

    # BEGIN 404 Fix
