Support » Plugin: Recent FB Posts » No recent Facebook posts to show

  • As of yesterday we’re getting “No recent Facebook posts to show” on all the sites we use the plugin on.

    Testing the configuration comes back that it’s ok.

    Had to install another plugin for now.

    Anybody else have this problem and get it fixed?

    Thanks!

    Found the problem. You have to edit:
    recent-facebook-posts/includes/class-api.php

    On, or around, Line 192:
    Change: $url = “https://graph.facebook.com/{$endpoint}”;
    To: $url = “https://graph.facebook.com/v2.11/{$endpoint}”;

    Same problem here! Please update the Plugin, dear developer!

    @mjbehrii: I tried your work around (inserting the “v2.11/” into the code), didn’t do the trick for me. After changing the code I deactivated and reactivated the plugin. Anything else what I would need to do? Your help would be very appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    Did you clear the cache after?
    Sorry I didn’t mention that.

    Thanks for the tip and the fast answer. I did that already … doesn’t work … weird though that it did the trick for you … Thanks again 🙂

    @mjbehrii
    Obviously have to wait for an update of the plugin 🙁 …

    Whatever it was, cleared the cache AGAIN and miracle it works NOW, YAY!!! 🙂
    Maybe after copying the edited .php file the WordPress system needed some time?
    Who knows?! Anyway THANKS @mjbehrii !!!

    Hi guys! I’ve read that thread and have just one question. I should change the code in .php file, but before that clean the cash?

    @zairr
    Edit php file then clear cache

    Tnx @mjbehrii for your quick reply! I tried to do that and what’s happened: I re-wrote the code – no changes. Then I decided to hit “Test configuration” button and the web-page went down.
    It was not a problem as soon as you can go one step back, but the problem still there/ Today I will try again.
    Last question about cache cleaning – what is the best way to do it? Plugin?

    @zairr
    If you do not have a cache plugin installed, you just have to clear the cache locally on your browser. If you have a cache plugin installed, then normally the plugin has a functionality to clear the cache. Hope that helps!

    @zairr – There’s a clear cache in the plugin settings.
    It clears the plugins cache.

    Tnx guys! Just went back from grocery with new pack of coffee and start to work on plugin/ By the way – why there is no updates for this plugin?

    I don’t know if it’s abandoned or what.

    But if it is open source we can do that though I never do that. Guy who can do that can also leave his name on plugin page. Updated by Jackie Chan)
