No Receipt of mail

Dear All,
I am having a problem with the contact form being delivered to the intended recipient.
The green ‘successfully sent’ message appears (identifying that the message is sent); and upon testing the message is delivered to a hotmail account. However I am trying to send it to a mail account with a domain name. The MailBox seems to have been set up as a forwarder – and the web hosting company believes that this is the issue.
How would I go about fixing this?
