No preview, cannot edit photo's once placed, etc.

    Hello,

    After using WordPress with no problems for months, I am now having a lot of problems. I have updated WP and all plugins, tried other browsers, reset our server, reset Safari.

    Here are the problems:

    Cannot edit a photo after it has been placed: when I click on the photo to resize, it does not load the screen. That has been going on for 2 weeks.

    When loading a photo, it sits at the “crunching” phase and does not proceed to the edit and insert screen. I now just click “save changes” while it indefinitely crunches and it brings me to the edit/insert screen.

    Cannot see the photo while editing it – such as cropping or re-sizing. it does not load.

    Can no longer preview my post. It brings me to a blank screen.

    Have tried everything and do not see other people having similar problems.

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.
