    hi Kevin,

Is it possible to not generate Post articles for each marker placed?

Instead, would like to have each marker appear on one map/one page (that the shortcode is used on).

Also/instead of the Full article w/details, whenever a marker is clicked have the pop-up provide the ‘Read the Report’ details (no link to get). This way the user then never needs to leave the “Map Page”.

I grasp why Post articles are used (however, I’m not getting any email notification as the admin, nor as a ‘has rights’ publisher who adds a marker), but I think it complicates the interactive experience, and it adds articles to the front/post page that I don’t really want interrupting my own articles.

Just tell me if this is asking too much/impossible!!

    Appreciate your efforts,

    Hi bob

The email notification is not working at the ment. It’s one of the things I either need to fix or drop completely.

For the change in markers you would need to hack the core code yourself. I’m sure you can do what you want by calling the content in the marker.

I tend to only release plugins that meet my needs and hope it will be useful for other people. As I have no need to display the content within the marker and my needs are for a post to be published what you want is not a change that is likely to happen.

But you are more than welcome to fork the plugin and develop it for your own needs. Twitchers is itself a fork of the sightings plugin which I did to tackle a lot of bugs.

Sorry I can not be of more help.

No problem, Kevin … fully understand. While I’m not a coder (yet!), this would be a neat project to branch off as you suggest – something to set my sights on, for sure – and thankful that you worked up the original to be a better product to start from!

Copy you on the email system glitches too … good luck, I’ll keep a watch.

    Thanks again,
