no posts listed on static Home page only

    I’m using version 2.6.1 on WordPress 4.4.3 on a blog with the Home page set to a static page.
    I have this shortcode in a sidebar widget
    [display-posts posts_per_page="2" image_size="thumbnail" wrapper="div"]

    Strangely, the shortcode works on every page except the Home page, where it is just blank. I don’t see any errors anywhere.

    Probably your theme is not resetting the query, or is taking over the WordPress query.

    How does your home page look like, code-wise?

    I thought I had checked everything to do with my home page, but I hadn’t. It is an option in the theme.
    Sorry about that. Is there a way to delete this thread?

    We generally don’t delete threads as other users may stumble on the same problem and will now know where to go looking as you found the solution 🙂
