No plugins working

    Hi I have been trying to install various plugins for my new self-hosted blog and nothing seems to be working, any advice greatly appreciated!

    This was the message that came up:

    Installing Plugin from uploaded file: wp-statistics.7.1.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Could not create directory. /home2/thegirlr/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-statistics/

    Plugin install failed.

    This is a hosting issue, your webserver doesn’t have write access to the wordpress directory.
