no plugins to show

  • On the dashboard no plugins are seen.
    The message is
    “No plugins to show”

What was I doing before this happened?
I was activating all the plugins simultaneously.
After sometime it showed plugins deactivated message.
    Then

    What I tried:
[1] Delete and upload one plugin leaving the rest in the plugin folder.
I deleted Akismet and uploaded new in it’s place.
I got this message for akismet
“The plugin does not have a valid header.”

[2] When I deleted and added another plugin “pushpress”.
    The message is
    “No plugins to show”

    [3] CHMOD is 774

Will you please tell me what I need to correct to see plugins in the dashboard?

The plugins and wordpress are all updated versions.

    Thanking in anticipation.
    Dr. Ashok Koparday
