The slideshow doesn’t handle its own update process, WordPress should take care of it.

Perhaps manually installing the lates version of the slideshow plugin will solve the problem so it will automatically update to future releases. You can download the latest slideshow version from here.

How can I manually update the plugin?

In your WordPress dashboard, go to the “Plugins” page in your menu bar. Here you can see the slideshow plugin with the option to disable it. After disabling the plugin, you can delete the slideshow by looking up the slideshow in your WordPress dashboard again and clicking the delete button. This will leave your slideshows and settings intact.

When you’ve deleted the slideshow plugin, click the “Add new” button on the plugins page. Here you can search for “slideshow-jquery-image-gallery”, which will lead you to the slideshow plugin again. Click the “install now” button to reinstall the slideshow.

    Thank You,
    it worked fine.
I have another problem. The website is very slow. The hosting company all-connect blames the slideshow. Does the slideshow access extern ip adresses?

If a slideshow doesn’t have too many slides, it shouldn’t slow down the website too much. Unless you’re using larger images than you need, of course.
