 * I’m having an issue with wordfence free edition that I can’t figure out. I run
   5 websites all using WordPress.org. I run free wordfence on all of them. I get
   an email telling me when I have plugin updates except for one site. I’ve went
   as far as opening the settings on one site that works and making sure the non
   working site has the same settings. I removed wordfence and deleted all the settings
   and reinstalled. Still not receiving an email for plugin updates. [https://weaverssanitation.com](https://weaverssanitation.com)
   is the site having an issue. This site is hosted by a different company than
   the rest. Not sure if that’s the issue or not. Any help would be appreciated.

 * Hi [@mcnealwebservices](https://wordpress.org/support/users/mcnealwebservices/),
   thanks for describing your issue.
 * It sounds very much like the server or software the site hosted with a different
   provider uses is failing to send your emails as it’s easily isolated from the
   other 4 that are working.
 * Emails come from your site and not our servers so always check the following:
    - The emails (they come from [wordpress@yoursitename.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/no-plugin-update-email/wordpress@yoursitename.com?output_format=md))
      might be sent to junk mail folders by your email client or provider. Make
      sure and whitelist or add your website to the list of safe domains so you
      get emails consistently.
    - This isn’t like regular emails you send and receive, but rather server alert
      messages. Usually, a restart of postfix or sendmail (whichever is installed)
      can fix it. Your hosting provider may need to help with this.
    - If you have a third party plugin for sending emails with another service,
      like Gmail, it could be stopping these alerts from going out. Reaching out
      to the plugin author for support can help.
 * Once you’re 100% sure they’re not being junked or that postfix/sendmail isn’t
   stuck, I would certainly see if you’re able to send a test email from **Wordfence
   > Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Send a Test Email…**
 * If you can’t, your hosting provider may need to help you troubleshoot the issue.
 * Thanks,
   Peter.
