No plugin option on dashboard

    I’ve been trying to add Yoast to my wordpress site. I’ve been directed to the plugins option on the dashboard under appearance, but no such option exists.
    Do I need to host my files from elsewhere? if so, how do I make the switch and begin doing this? Noobie

    You can only add plugins to self-hosted WordPress. If your site is on WordPress.com, you cannot add plugins.
