no php tag for calling the user’s jabber / google talk id

  • I can’t find the php tag to call the user’s jabber / google talk id from their profile (for an author’s page). I thought it would be
<?php the_author_jabber(); ?>, but that doesn’t work. Anyone know it?

so I searched for the word jabber inside the docs.

The second link returned was this:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Your_Profile_SubPanel

which says, “Jabber / Google Talk – Enter your Jabber / Google Talk name here. For information on how to display this on your site, see the example in the Author Templates article.”

    Might want to read that.

Thanks whooami. I appreciate the link. The method described there works.

I was initially confused because the aim and yim methods can be called with a regular php tag, whereas the google one requires a little different approach.
