    Hi everybody,
i’m about to display my IG feed in my webpage, but i’m figuring out a huge problem (that i had with other IG feed plugins too).

My IG account is gr__design (a business account), i register it correctely with the token and the right user number. The plugin generates the code. I paste the code in an HTML widget in the footer of my site, but when i go and see it the pics aren’t there, they aren’t even loading, but the informations are there (likes, shares and so on).

Anyone has an idea on what i’m doing wrong?

    Thanks for the support.

    Hi @asbruff,

Instagram has just depreciated their old “Legacy” API. Facebook has taken over and put in place two APIs, the Instagram Basic API and the Instagram Graph API. The Basic API is as it sounds and will provide basic functionality. The Graph API is the Business side of things and has the parameters that deliver much more options, but they (FB/IG) have us jump through a few hoops to get there.

In your WordPress dashboard, in the Feed Them > Instagram Options, you’ll see two separate logins, one for the Basic API and one for the Graph API (Business token). You can access the Basic API with any IG account (must be owner/admin, but it can be a personal, creator or business account). The Graph API will require your IG to be a business account (it can not be a personal or creator account) and your IG business account needs to be linked to a FB Business Page (which you must have Admin privileges for).

Once your IG Business account & FB Business pages are linked, then login through the Instagram Business API Token button, make sure to go through your personal FB account (this is also important to go through your personal FB and not through the FB Business Page login), the prompts will return any/all managed FB pages that you have checked. When the prompts return you back to wordpress, your page(s) should be listed. Click on the page of your choice, then click on the Save button that appears. Then go to the Feed Them > Settings > Instagram Feed and choose Business Feed or Hashtag Feed from the Feed Type dropdown. Be sure all your other parameters are set how you’d like and create a shortcode.

After you update/publish the new shortcode, you may need to clear the cache (Feed Them > Settings > Global Options > Clear All FTS Cache).

So yes, thanks to FB and their new API protocols, there are many steps to accomplish this, and if a step is missed, the feed will not be displayed.

Let us know how it goes,

    Chris

    My god…
    sorry, but i can’t get it working…

    You said:
“You can access the Basic API with any IG account (must be owner/admin, but it can be a personal, creator or business account).”

I have a business account, and i don’t need likes and shares to be shown in wordpress. Below what i’ve done:
1_ i’ve pressed the button “login and get my access token”,
2_ i’ve been redirected to IG. It sais “you’re about to link your IG to Feed Them Social by SlickRemix. Clicked then on “Continue”,
3_ in wordpress i found “Insta ID” and “access token” fields filled green box below (IG basic API token),
4_ i went on “settings page” and generate the shortcode (basic feed),
5_ put the shortcode in the HTML widget, save it,
6_ in the corresponding page i get the links of every photo (they head to the right instagram photos), but no photo is shown.

I didn’t even tried with the business API token… it seems a little overcomplicated.

Am i doing something wrong? Am i missing something?

    Thanks.

I just took a look at your example link and I can see the feed in the footer ok. Looks like maybe you will want to modify it a bit to fit better with our options, however it is visible for me.

Now i see it working properly.. i can’t see it only when i’m logged in, but from a private navigation tab i have no problems..

Okk, it’s enough that it works.

    Thank you for your support.
