Sorry, I installed the plugin, refreshed all caches, reviewed the wizard section of the plugin, and cannot find any way to use the plugin.

I searched the web for a pertinent tutorial. There is none.

I searched this forum for any reasonable starting point, haven’t found anything.

It might sound stupid, but how about a simple walk-through of the first steps? Because at this point, I don’t know if the tools are there and I am not looking in the right spot, or if the tools aren’t there, and I need to do something to get them installed.

Would appreciate a simple clarification of a starting point, thanks.

There’s a YouTube channel with a variety of videos that we link to in the plugin’s own “Support” tab. That should get you started — the interface has changed quite a bit but the process is pretty similar as in the past.

There’s a wizard button you click on to walk you through pretty much anything that’s supported embedding-wise: https://ps.w.org/youtube-embed-plus/trunk/screenshot-1.jpg?rev=2058642

Thank you. I have been to the YT channel. I have looked multiple places for the wizard button. There is no wizard button. Without it, all the videos are unusable, since they start with the wizard button.

You have listed Gutenberg options for finding the wizard button. But in my theme, its not there.

It sounds like a theme-specific issue. What’s the name of the theme, and what version of the theme are you using? Also what version of WordPress are you using?

    -EmbedPlus Team

I am using fully updated WP. I am using the Avada theme.

I am checking back in, haven’t heard anything in a few days. Thank you.

Sorry sent the other one too early:

Exactly what version of the Avada theme? It’s important to know, especially when it comes to which editor you’re using to write your posts (see here https://theme-fusion.com/documentation/avada/wordpress/avada-and-wordpress-5-0-compatibility/ )

Are you using the Fusion Builder editor with your Avada theme? (see https://theme-fusion.com/products/fusion-builder/ ) If so, what does your Text Block look like–does it have our YouTube wizard button next to the Add Media button? https://avada.theme-fusion.com/text-2/

If you’re using the Gutenberg Block Editor instead, you should be able to find the YouTube Wizard block. Here’s a screenshot of how you’d find it: https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/youtube-embed-plus/trunk/images/ss-wiz-gbblock.png

    Finally, what’s your site’s url?

    -EmbedPlus Team

Thank you very much for the detailed reply.

I have the latest version of Avada. Would prefer not to use Gutenberg, partly because we already have a page fully set up for YT videos. I wouldn’t prefer to recreate that page in Gutenberg, as it is rather detailed, and future maintenance would be harder.

Yes, I am using Fusion Builder. My text block doesn’t have the wizard button anywhere. If I go to the classic editor, the wizard button shows up, but obviously that is a lot harder to work with than the Fusion Builder.

The URL of the page with the most videos is:

    Thank you for your help.

Could you describe how you were able to embed the large “Adson Test” video? That one looks like you were able to successfully embed using our plugin.

    -EmbedPlus Team

I installed that one video through the standard editor. Obviously I do not want to work with the standard editor, since the typical builders allow one to work without high-level html knowledge and experience.

I am looking to use your plugin as advertised, with features that are accessible through a builder.

It seems like your problem would require temp admin access to investigate.

    -EmbedPlus Team

Sorry, still just sitting on the issue.

If you would like admin access, please let me know how I can get these to you securely.

    Thank you

Hi, I still have the plugin installed, but cannot get the ‘YouTube’ button to show up in the block editor. I can give you admin access, but I need an email address, please.

    Still checking back in.

    Checking in…
