# No permalinks

 * I have turned on my permalinks and changed permissions on my .htaccess to 666.
   The permalinks still don’t show. Is there something else I need to do?

 * humm..I am very new to WP and to blogging, but I thought the permalink address
   was listed at the bottom of the article. After looking at what you have listed
   above and looking at the mouse over info, I am assuming the permalink is in the
   Title? So sorry to trouble you. I have been reading for hours now trying to figure
   this out.

 * Actually it can be anywhere.
    Even in WP there are several themes that have a
   small line under the article with the text “Permalink” which is a _perma_nent
   _link_ to that specific article.
 * Now, even example.com/index.php?p=645 is a permalink, too, it’s just not ‘human-
   friendly’. What you did, actually, was turning on the so-called “nice permalinks”.
