• I used WP for a while, with Visual Editor on, and no problems. I’ve recently noticed, my last couple of posts stopped recognizing the paragraph breaks. So I turned the theme back to WP Default, and deactivated all plugins. This did not solve the issue.

Searching the forum, I took advice to turn off the visual editor, used <br> in the post. This worked.

However, clients aren’t impressed they can’t just hit RETURN and use the other Visual Editor features. They don’t want to code. Any ideas on what could be causing this problem, how to fix it?

If there is a change to be made in the Wp install code in any advice given, please be very specific about where to change that code.

Looks like if I turn visual editor off, and in a post, hit enter twice, it shows a line break and retains it when published. Seems like it’s just the visual editor that doesn’t work?

This isn’t resolved, because the paragraph breaks need to be working with Visual Editor.

Are you by chance on OSX using Safari?

yow, that solves it! i was having the same issue, using Safari / OSX, switched to Firefox and edited the page and posts where i was having this problem, that fixed it. thanks Ronin898.

I believe the Graphical Editor is TinyMCE which is not Safari Friendly, sadly.

I’m using Firefox, not Safari, and am having the same issues though?

    what are your system specs?
    OS Version? Browser Version?

I’m having same problems. Not liking what I’m reading in this thread since I also use Safari and OSX. Ronin898, using OS 10.5.2 and Safari 3.1.
