In my site I have checked the No page refresh option which shouldn’t refresh the page. But when the form is submitted the page refreshes.

    Can it be fixed?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @anjanphukan which form on the provided page are you referring to? The one in the modal popup, or the one in the footer area, or perhaps both?

Best first guesses upon just a quick check has us thinking possibly some sort of javascript error occurring, but we’ll be able to deduce better once we have a bit more information.

Thanks for getting back to me. Both the forms are the same. I checked the option. So neither modal popup nor footer should refresh the page.

    Hope it helps.

    Thank you.

Hey @anjanphukan thank you for your patience over the weekend.

Can you try something for us and remove one or the other form embeds temporarily?

We think the presence of two instnaces may be having an effect on the javascript used, causing it to fall back to default submission process.

Yes you are correct. I tried a different page which actually doesn’t have the form in popup, for example and the form works well.

The page doesn’t reload. So it can be the second form in the form in the home page.

So can it be fixed? Or do I need to create a separate form for each locations?

Yes, it should wholly be able to be fixed. Allow us some time to dig into things and we’ll get back to you.

No problem. Please take your time and let me know when it is fixed. Thank you.

    Hey there @anjanphukan,

Would you mind doing some quick testing and confirming your results? This will help us investigate the issue more closely!

    Step #1

    • Add the Constant Contact Forms widget to your footer. Ensure it uses a form that has its “No Page Refresh” option checked

    Step #2

    • Add other forms to a page or post content—not a widget, but the shortcode in a post or page
    • View this page
    • Try submitting the non-widget forms
    • Question #1: Do these non-widget forms submit okay, without refreshing the page?

    Step #3

    • Now try submitting the widget form on this page
    • Question #2: Does the page now refresh?

    Step #4

    • Now remove the widget temporarily
    • Refresh the page and try submitting both non-widget forms
    • Question #3: Now that the widget is gone, do these No-Refresh forms submit okay, without causing the page to refresh?

If you can answer Question #1, Question #2, and Question #3, that will help us confirm that the widget itself is causing this bug.

This is the behavior I find, and would love to know if another person finds the exact same behavior đŸ™‚

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hi @ggwicz

Answer #1: The page refreshes when I try to submit the non-widget form when both forms are there.

Answer #2: The page refreshes when I submit the widget form when both forms are present

Answer #3: Removed the widget form and tried the non-widget form and the page doesn’t refresh.

Another scenario: When I remove the non-widget form and try the widget form then the page doesn’t refresh.

Another thing please. When there are 2 forms in the same page, for example here, when I submit one form, both the forms show me the Thank you message.

    I hope this will help.

    Thank you.

    Thank you @anjanphukan!

The behavior you describe exactly matches what we expect here. We are intending to include a fix for this in the next release.

If that fix arrives, it would allow for many AJAX-powered Constant Contact forms on any given page, all of them working well.

    Stay tuned to plugin updates!
