# "No options for this widget" error msg

 * I set up MailChimp, activated it, set up my list, etc. I entered my API key –
   accepted. But when I drag the widget into my sidebar I get the error msg “There
   are no options for this widget”. Can someone explain to me what I’m doing wrong?

 * Thanks for posting in the forum. This is actually expected! In the Widgets area,
   you can control where you place your sign up form by clicking and dragging it
   to the intended area in the sidebar, but the ‘options’ for the plugin won’t be
   available here.
 * In order to access the plugin’s settings, you’ll want to go to **Plugins > Installed
   Plugins**. Then, navigate to the _MailChimp_ plugin and click on “**settings**“.
   Once you click that, you’ll be taken to the plugin’s settings page, where you
   can connect your account and setup your lists.
