I have just installed v1.1.6 of the plugin but when I try to use it I have no option “link” showing in the dropdown of field types options.
acf ver 4.4.11

Hi @mikkey0001, sorry, the plugin only works for ACF 5 (Pro) and above.

Haha, no worries! I had thought ACF 4 would be phased out, but perhaps soon I can add support for it.
