• Yeah I mean it is snazzy but errors with shortcodes and blows up all the time.

I have a feeling my support forums will just be a copy and paste of “Use the classic editor.”

    Needs more testing with plugins.

  • Hi there! Thanks for leaving a review.

Gary Pendergast actually published a great code example how a plugin developer could convert shortcodes to blocks fairly easily. Might be a better place to start for you.

Another constructive way would be to file a github issue, on the plugins incompatibility to get assistance from the Gutenberg team.

Hi, thanks. If you haven seen the other reviews, you know this project must hit reverse and if I have to go to GitHub to get my things working it will be to hit fork on the 4.9.8 code and call it something like “Old WordPress” and recommend my user base use it from now on. (I would bet $1 someone already has over this)

I have a belief if the Gutenberg team continues to try to make this Square Space it will result in a massive hard fork by the development community.

I was sort of ignoring it thinking it was the usual resistance to change, but then had some downtime to test it… And it didn’t work. So yeah… Don’t force it on the community.

    Make it optional.
