No more “message sent” notice with 5.4 ?

    Just tested the form with 5.4 installed. It works fine (I receive all the messages just fine) except that when visitors click on “Send” the usual “message sent” that came up and reassured the sender (that his/her message was indeed sent OK) is not showing anymore.

    Can you fix this please ? Thanks.

    yes notice was gone
    also broke work with sweetalert

    Is 5.4 going to break everything again? Like what happened in 4.somthing when all javascripts broke and you had to write things to functions.php

    Additionally, if any fields on the form do not validate, the invalidation error messages and styling do not show.
    I even activated WordPress themes and disabled my custom cf7 styles. So on 2021 and 2020 themes, using contact form 7 default styles, Contact Form 7 v5.4 update breaks user feedback, whether it is for an invalid field, or it is a successfully sent message.

    I agree with @hunta. I re-downloaded the 5.3.2 files, and it now works fine again.

    FYI, it seems Developer ignores and closes (without comment) github issues. See tag “invalid”.

    I have the same issue. My contact forms where working fine until I updated the plugin to 5.4. I didn´t update any other plugins today. I had no issues with the previous versions, last one was 5.3.2. I´ve been using the plugin for the past three years without any issues.

    As I´m not the only one with this issue I hope that this issue will be solved.

    Whats happening with this 5.4 version??? Sweet Alert and all status messages simply DISAPPEARED!!!

    @najunod, I just discovered a new (and reliable) plugin that simply solves the Sweet Alert problem in version 5.4 of Contact Form 7. It is called “Popup Message Notifier for Contact Form 7“.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

    In the meantime I found out that the lack of notifier was a bug that came with a release of my Theme and not with CF7.

    Their latest update solved the problem and the notifier shows “message sent” etc. just fine again
