Hello and first of all, thanks for that great plugin !

After long months, I finally try to upgrade to GA4. I should admit it was not easy, and most of the time I’m not sure of what decision I should take. Anyway, Site Kit easily proposed me to complete the old Universal collectable method with the new associated one.

In a first time, I don’t understand why data seems to be not perfectly collected inside the Google Analytics pages. It was probably due to “cache pages” of my website that not proposed the new embedded code. But there are also another way to show data from Google, realtime works, but it takes at least 12 hours before the collected data appears inside the mainboard of Google Analytics.

Inside Google Site Kit, the first days, data collected was also show inside my Dashboard inside WordPress. But strangely after 2 days, as if data seems to be still collected inside Google Analitycs, the Google Site Kit Dashboard do not show me the new value !?

    Should I have made a mistake somewhere… perhaps ?

Witch kind of information could I show you to help ?

my blog is : http://blog.cyborgjeff.com and be host in : https://www.studio-quena.be/cyborgjeff/blog

I’ve activated the option : Search Console, Google Analytics, Pages Speeds Insights, and perhaps just before the problem appears, Tag Manager.

Google Analytics follow first UA and GA4. I’ve also click off the UA option. could it be the problem ? (I’ve re-add it this morning to test).

If it could here is some investigation I’ve made.

In the Site Kit dashboard I’ve stopped the option “collecting UA”, it’s seems after that Site Kit no more adding new data in the graphics.

During my test, I’ve also try to remove the “Google Tag Manager” connexion, but it seems after that, that’s Google Analytics 4 that no more collection new data…. perhaps because after activated the Google Tag Manager, the balise snipped in the code no more use the G- created by GA4 but a new one from Google Tage Manager GT-xxxx
After removing the GTM connexion and re-do it, it seems it was linked to a new GT-xxxx have been used… for sure, that part of Google Analitycs is really complex

@cyborgjeff Thanks for opening a support topic with us and for all of your investigation. The reason this is happening for you is because Site Kit does not currently display GA4 data in the dashboard. This is why you do not see your data in the dashboard currently when only placing the GA4 property.

This is something that we have been working on and I am happy to let you know that we will be rolling this feature out this week so you don’t have much longer to wait. Be sure to keep your Site Kit plugin updated to the latest version and you will soon have this update.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thanks Adam for this answer. That help me a lot to understand why happens or not : )

So I’ll keep an eye on the new version !

I think I should find a good formation about the new G4 in French, as I hate to not understand how it works and how to use it 😉

@cyborgjeff Beginning with Site Kit 1.102.0, released on June 5, 2023, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) reporting introduces your GA4 statistics to the Site Kit dashboard. This feature will roll out incrementally through June 20, 2023, when all users will have access to their GA4 statistics in Site Kit.
