Yes things have changed a bit with nav menus. The goal is to improve compatibility with some themes and offer more flexibility (for example for the language switcher position).
Sight hardcodes the menu name. For ‘Top menu’ location, it is looking for a menu called ‘Top menu’, and for ‘Navigation’ location, it is looking for a menu called ‘Navigation’. And in fact the theme creates these two menus.
So give the theme what it want. In one of the language, rename your menus ‘Top menu’ and ‘Navigation’. You can keep the other menus as they are. Polylang will find the right translation.
Since, you can’t delete the two menus while Sight is activated (the theme re-creates the menus as soon as you delele them :D), you can do this by activating temporarily another theme.

It could be. Have you a link?
Hi Chouby,
Moving menu stuff all into the same place was a good idea, but I believe I have a similar problem.
After upgrading to 1.1.3, top-level nav menu items are broken and all link to a default blog page in my main language (English).
As a for instance, you can see that all these pages end up in the same place:
– http://theenglishfarm.com/lessons/
In my second language (Japanese), all page links go to a 404 error page. On the other hand, child-level items seem OK in some cases and go to the correct page. Posts are also working fine as far as I can tell.
Strangely, other links to pages from the home page seem broken. Any thoughts?
I am using a theme called ‘Modernize’ on my site: http://theenglishfarm.com/
Do you require any other info about my set up?
I hope you can help.
Thanks.
Hi Chouby,
This was a theming issue. You can ignore it. Sorry to trouble you and thanks a lot for your good work.
