I have everything set up with Sandbox API credentials only (not Live credentials, those fields have been left blank for now during testing). When I submit the form, I am taken to the Paypal checkout sandbox, I am able to login using my sandbox buyer credentials and the checkout process seems to run fine. Then I’m redirected back to my website as set up in the Success Return URL field. However, I never receive any emails, either as the seller, or the buyer. Why not? CF7 isn’t sending any mail. Does this plugin not send emails while using test mode only? What do I need to do to fix this?

Follow up… I also entered live credentials, then ran another test in Test API mode. Checkout via PayPal and redirect back to website worked fine. But still no emails are being sent to the seller or the buyer. I checked spam folder too. Nothing.

I found the problem. A gmail address was being used in the TO field of the form. Changed it to an address tied to the domain and now its working. Thank you.

It turns out that the Gmail address was not the real issue. For some reason, this plugin is still not mailing form submissions prior to checkout. I’ve tried using email addresses tied to my domain, and I’ve tested other CF7 forms without PayPal and those are getting mailed. So something is not right with this plugin.

I am experiencing the exact same problem. The sandbox payment process is working but no emails are being sent to any email addresses. Yes I also tried an email tied to the domain. A contact form NOT using the PayPal integration submits emails correctly. I really need help with this.
