Support » Plugin: WP Mail SMTP by WPForms » No Longer Working with PHP Mailer?

    I am seeing this message.

You currently have the native WordPress option selected. Please select any other Mailer option above to continue the setup.

I use the plugin to set an email address to the same domain name for our default email provider. I am concerned clients could now be missing important emails because of this.

    Hi,

this message is present in the plugin for years now. Using the “Default (none)” mailer is not recommended, since most of the web hosting servers are blocking their email sending capabilities.

We didn’t change anything connected to this “Default (none)” mailer in recent updates, so it should work for you like it did so far, but any server changes made by your hosting company could break your email sending.

We would recommend that you configure one of the real mailers. More information can be found in this guide, going over all available mailers.

    Have a nice day!

OK. I wanted to make sure. I am using the plugin to make sure the email domain name matches the website domain so that the hosting’s email server won’t reject it. I just noticed it since it came up in the WordPress site health report and wanted to make sure something didn’t change.
