I still have credits leftover that I bought but I now have to abandon this plugin.

    1. You can no longer select compression levels
    2. The new ‘Smart compression’ is awful! It says ‘image is already compressed’ on some of my images when they’re certainly not, and others it compresses way way too much. This is not smart, it’s terrible
    3. Backups are not there. I have over 500 images optimised by Imagify and only about 20 of the originals have been backed up. It’s meant to keep ALL the originals.
    4. The plugin takes AGES to optimise. Often it gets totally stuck on one image

This wasted me time and money. I wouldn’t recommend

  • They have promised an update to this a few times, but seems that nothing will change. We’re about to abandon too for all the same reasons.

Try Shortpixel. Seems good. I’m fairly sure they all use the same img optimisation libraries/algorithms. Nothing special

    Hey @hudsontek and @niklo

We are sorry about these issues. We are finalizing QA tests of v2.1 and it will be definitely released during this week (or at least the beginning of the next one).

It should solve all problems listed by @hudsontek except backups. Backups should be created to all images unless there is some very specific problem so it might be best to take a closer look at it.

    Best Regards

    Hey,

I am just following up to see if there is any further info you can provide regarding the backup problem or if you have any further feedback?

    Best Regards

    Hello everyone,

Just wanted to thank you once again for your feedback and to let you know that we have released v2.1 of Imagify.

In this version, we have added the option to choose Lossless compression level and to reoptimize images in the Bulk optimization page.

We would highly appreciate if you give it another try and let us know what you think.

    Best Regards
    Marko

The update broke our site http://www.72kvadrat.se so we had to uninstall the plugin 🙁

    Hey @alltomtrav

Did you get any specific error message when you activated it?

We have tested it on multiple different installations and it worked well, so it might be something very specific.

Can you also tell me if the problem was both on the backend and front end, or it only broke the layout on the front-end?

    Thanks!
    Marko
