  • Same here.
After upgrading to 2.0, links are not created, and error message:
“The JSON could not be parsed.” appears.

in my case, automatically created links is NOT working after update to version 2.01

i have returned to version 2.0, this working fine!
i think the develoers must look at this problem.

I’ll take a look. the old method was functional but didn’t take certain security things into concern.

Alright. I just installed version 2.0.1 and that didn’t work. Same problem. I also checked again and installed 2.0.2 and that didn’t work either. Back to 1.09 for me then.

Also, I am not getting any errors, it’s just not creating them automatically. If I tell it to do it manually it works, just not automatically.

can either of you provide a screenshot of your settings page? (the API key should be hidden anyway)

Here is a screenshot of my current configuration. This is running WordPress 4.1 with plugin version 2.0.2. This configuration works fine for creating links manually, but it does not create them automatically.

I also tried changing it to http://go.darkrealmgaming.com with no change.

@coltondrg can you check the “use POST request” box and see if that resolves the issue?

Wow. I swear I already tried that yesterday and it didn’t work, but it seems to have worked this time… Odd. Anyway, thank you! I appreciate your help!

    Status: Resolved.
Solution: Update to 2.0.2 and tick the Use POST requests box.

fantastic. I’ve noticed lately that the YOURLS API isn’t as forgiving on GET requests as it used to be. I think it’s a hosting / security issue, but the POST setup takes care of that.

I can confirm it is now working very well (version 2.02, with “POST requests box” checked) !
Thank you Authors for your great work!

    Dont work for me.

I use the Yourls Link Generator v.2.0.2

When I generate a link the following error come: The JSON could not be parsed.

When I tick the POST requests box the following error come: The API call returned a 404 response code.
