No longer able to update custom permalinks in Edit Category?

Where once it was possible to easily change the custom permalinks in Edit Category, it no longer seems to work. I change the permalink and press “Update” but it never changes. http://www.swamisriatmananda.com/experiential-guidance
[Reason for regularly changing the category permalink is that the posts are password-protected and one must make a PayPal offering in order to receive the password. So the permalink has to change each time, otherwise some rare scofflaw may simply copy the link to view future posts without making an offering. Maybe there’s a better way to execute this strategy?]
