@cristian Balan – Sorry you felt that way, but that is not 100% factual. In fact we have several users who we have helped in free support set up login modals using the forms from other plugins or shortcodes. Our extension simply provides this functionality with just a few clicks and no other plugins needed.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

I am sorry @danieliser, maybe my review was too quick because I was looking for something simple.

However before coming back with the post I had a look to the plugin interface, a bit overcomplicated for my needs (I understand that the plugin is aiming to do more) and didn’t find visually anything about a login popup way. Then I simply went further using the browser search through the plugin interface for “login” with no results.

Then turned back on WP.org and search in the description page for “login” and there are just 2 results, the short description and the premium plugin “AJAX Login Modals”.

To me was clear that this feature is being possible through an extra paid plugin.
Really sorry if I should understand differently.

@cristian Balan – Thanks for the feedback. We are aware of how overwhelming the options can be. In fact v1.4 & 1.5 will be moving all of the settings to a new simpler interface that will hopefully make setup quicker and more intuitive.

As far as setting up login modals with the free version goes, it is absolutely possible using other plugins such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-ajax-login/. When it was added to the short description it is simply because there is very little you can’t put into a popup maker popup, and generally there is very little extra work needed such as triggering the popup to close when the form. Does it do it out of the box, well no, but with a little work it can do just about anything which is what the short description was meant to describe.

This plugin is super flexible in every way, you can filter/hook/JS event everything which makes the sky the limit. Our ajax login extension simply gives you an out of the box solution that can be set up in minutes rather than hours. Likely we will build extensions for anything that gets requested frequently such as AJAX Login Modals.

PS there are users in the forums recently setting up login modals without the extension.

    Hope that helps.

@cristian Balan – v1.4 is out now and would love to get some feedback on the first wave of simplifications to the editing interface for popups. There is a new conditions interface as well as separate dedicated spot for triggers( auto open, click open, exit intent etc ), and cookies separately. Add as many as you like, set them all to use the same cookies etc.

In any case would love to get some more feedback on this new version if you get the chance, and an update to your review if warranted.
