Support » Plugin: Simply Static » No local files being saved to existing directory

  • I have WP 5.2.3 running on Ubuntu18.04
    I have multsite running.
I have added SS as a plugin available on my network of sites.
I would like to have files saved in local directory.
In Simply Static Settings, I have specified a local directory
/var/www/html/wordpress_simply_static as the directory to save files to.
    I run “Generate” and get

    Export Log
    1xx Informational: 0 | 2xx Success: 2 | 3xx Redirection: 0 | 4xx Client Error: 0 | 5xx Server Error: 0 | More info on HTTP status codes
    2 URLs
    Code URL Notes Errors (2)
200 http://localhost/wordpress/ Origin URL Unable to copy file to destination
200 http://localhost/wordpress/wp-includes/js/wp-emoji-release.min.js Additional URL Unable to create destination directory

The directory /var/www/html/wordpress_simply_static/ has its permissions wide open.

No files have been saved there.

How can I enable / set SS to save files there, or to some other directory?
