[resolved] No links menu with "Proper Links" (3 posts)

I do not have a Links (Blogroll) widget. So I added Proper Widgets. The Proper Links widget appeared under Appearance->Widgets, I dragged it to the sidebar, reloaded the site and it appears. Cool. But, I do not get a Links menu item allowing me to create any links!

    How do I get that?

After a lot of digging, I discovered that new installs of 3.5 no longer have a Link Manager by default. One has to add the Link Manager Plugin.

Apologies for the delay, Jim, I don't get notices from this forum automatically!

Yes, that was a funny change that caught a lot of people off-guard. Glad you figured out the fix and thanks for posting the resolution.
