• I just installed and configured the WPtouch free plugin and I cannot get it to show the defined custom URL on startup. It only shows the header, the Mobile | Desktop and footer information. The URL shows the page I want in the address bar, but the page doesn’t show. I want a page with content to show up upon startup. The new settings area is nice, but lacks a lot of the easy to use and configure menu items of the previous versions.

  • You are probably using shortcodes in that page. Free version of WPtouch filters shortcodes!

    Hi @tgoedde,

Yes, like @rene-rene says, the page is likely using shortcodes or something custom from the desktop theme. As a workaround, in the free version of WPtouch, you can select a different landing page in Settings > General > Landing Pages > Mobile front page.

The page can be an existing page or it can be a newly created page in WordPress. If you create a new page you can create it as “m” or “mobile”. Add the content to the page you want your mobile visitors to see and it should help resolve the issue.
