no invited users/balance always shows 0

I tried this plugin and it didnt work for me. I can invite users via the referral link and the new user can create an account.
but the balance for the person who invited is still 0. it says: “No one invited this user” and “this user has invited 0 users”.
also the new user (who has been invited) has the same dialog.
I tried different default roles for users. but all didnt work for me.what am I doing wrong? another user had the same problem but it is not solved (see another topic down below)
would be awesome if you could help because this plugin has exact functionality i need. cheers

Hi, my only guess is that you’re using the default WordPress registration link
wp-login.php?action=registercurrently this is not supported due to WordPress site health notices. you need to set up a custom registration page. this shouldn’t be a problem since almost no one is using that ugly thing!what you can do is disable other plugins in your local environment and test the plugin again. you may find an incompatible plugin, if you did please report it.
