It seems I have really messed something up. I have been building a site hosted on Dreamhost that I wanted to use to communicate with constituents in my ward. (I’m their rep on city council here in Ithaca. I had a beta site built using wordpress. And all seemed to go well until I tried to switch the url that the blog posted to from it’s ‘test’ url:

    http://www.firstwardreport.org/blog/

To just the main url without the /blog/ at the end. Somehow, in doing that, I seemed to have made a mistake that is leaving me at a loss for how to fix it. When I visit the above url I only see the posts in a very rudimentary style, no longer in my template. Then, when I try to login as an admin to either post another post or try to fix the problems that I’m seeing I get an error message, “No input file specified”.

Is there an easy fix to this problem, so that I don’t lose my database of posts and the initial work that I’ve done identifying tags, etc.

Any information or tips will be very helpful, thanks!

    Shane

  • I started getting this error when I added a value to doc_root in my php.ini file. As soon as I removed this value, everything worked again. You might check that to see if it could be your problem.
