As the title says, newly added galleries can’t show images and give the error ‘no images were found’.

I’ve searched for this error and tried the steps provided by you, to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hello @bartsaleswizard,

I just checked that link, and it seems that it’s working.

Please let me know if you have further questions or if the issue has been resolved.

    Hi @gabyimagely,

The issue has not yet been resolved, if you click on the upper left gallery you’ll get the notice, but this gallery is not empty in the back-end.

    Hi @bartsaleswizard,

Thanks for your reply and for pointing the issue. It unfortunately, looks like there is a problem with the link of those galleries because you have used / ( slashes character ) in the gallery name that’s being interpreted as a separator for subordinate slugs from a link structure.

What I can see is that for the galleries that are opening, the slash is being stripped off – that’s why those are working so it makes me think that you have created those galleries using a different NextGen Gallery version.

Can you please let us know if you have issues with the newly created galleries or with the old ones?

I’m also experiencing this issue, only recently so it may be a plugin update change.

When you added a gallery in the past, the path that is entered in Gallery – Other Options – Where would you like galleries stored? is the path that was shown in Gallery – Manage Galleries – Gallery Settings for each new gallery created. However, now any new galleries have that leading slash mark missing, causing broken image links unless you manually add it in the Gallery settings for each new gallery, causing broken image links.

My question is how to make the Gallery path show that leading slash by default?
We use this plugin with Advanced Custom Fields to add a gallery to custom pages. Before, the galleries loaded just fine and all galleries previous to the last update still do, but now any new galleries has broken image links unless we manually go into every new gallery and add a / before wp-content in the Gallery path in Gallery settings on each of the galleries. What do we need to do to correct this issue? I’ve tried changing the setting in “other options” to the path without the leading / but that didn’t help. I’ve also tried re-saving permalinks. Any suggestions?
